वरं व्रतै पदं दैवं, नाव्रतैर्वत् नारकं। छायातपस्थयो र्भेदः, प्रतिपालयतोर्महान्।।

अव्रती रहकर नरक में जाने की अपेक्षा व्रती बनकर स्वर्ग में जाना अच्छा है, क्योंकि जैसे छाया और धूप में प्रतीक्षा करने वालों में बहुत अन्तर होता हैं वैसे ही नरक व स्वर्ग में रहकर मोक्ष की प्रतीक्षा करने वालों में बहुत अंतर होता है।

Better to become a vow-keeper and go to heaven than to remain vowless and go to hell, for just as there is a great difference between those who wait in shade and those in the sun, so there is a great difference between those awaiting liberation in hell and those in heaven.
