जो दस बीस पचास भये, शत लक्ष करोड़ की चाह लगेगी, अरब खरब लो उदय भये तो, धरापति होने की आश लगेगी। उदय अस्त तक राज्य भयो, पर तृष्णा और ही ओर बढ़ेगी, सुन्दर एक सन्तोष विना नर, तेरी तो भूख कबहुँ न मिटेगी।।

Gain ten, twenty, fifty and you will crave a hundred, a lakh, a crore; gain billions and trillions and you will long to be lord of the earth. Rule from sunrise to sunset and still your thirst will grow further—O man, without the one jewel of contentment your hunger will never be stilled.
