सूक्ष्मदर्शीदूरदर्शी यन्त्र- (सोच की वजह से एक को लाभ दूसरे को हानि)दो मित्र मेले से सूक्ष्मदर्शी और दूरदर्शी यन्त्र लेकर आते है, एक मित्र तो सूक्ष्म दर्शी यन्त्र से सोने-चाँदी का मेल देखकर खरीदता जिससे व्यापार में कई गुना लाभ होने लगा एवं जब व्यापार से थक कर घर में आता और दूरदर्शी यन्त्र से दूरवर्ती बाग बगीचों को देखकर मनोरञ्जन करता और मौज मनाता, दूसरा मित्र रोटी के छोटे चिट्ठों को सूक्ष्मदर्शी यन्त्र से देखता वे बड़े दिखाई देते तो पत्नी को डाँटता, इसी प्रकार घर के सूक्ष्म कचरे को देखता ज्यादा दिखाई देता तो नौकरों को डाँटता और दुःखी रहने लगा, वस्तु के सदुपयोग की कला न आने से व्यक्ति दुःखी होता है और सोच सही होने से सुखी होता है।

The microscope and telescope: (owing to one's outlook, one gains and another loses). Two friends brought a microscope and a telescope from a fair. One used the microscope to detect adulteration in gold and silver before buying, gaining many times over in trade; and when tired from work he used the telescope to view distant gardens for recreation and enjoyment. The other used the microscope to inspect specks on his bread — magnified, they made him scold his wife; likewise he examined the fine dust in the house and, seeing it enlarged, scolded the servants, and grew miserable. Lacking the art of using things rightly a person suffers, while with a correct outlook he is happy.
