कृष्णजी ने रूक्मणि से दूध माँगा और सो गये, वह दूध रखकर चली गयी, बोली जब नींद खुले तब पी लेना, एक बार यशोदा माँ से माँगा और सो गये, माँ सारी रात बैठी रही बेटे को पहले दूध पिलाऊँगी फिर सोऊँगी, ये माँ और पत्नि में अन्तर होता है।

Krishna asked Rukmini for milk and fell asleep; she left the milk and went away, saying drink it when you wake. Once he asked Mother Yashoda and fell asleep; the mother sat up all night, thinking I will first give my son his milk and only then sleep. This is the difference between a mother and a wife.
