माँ की महिमा वरणी न जाय- विवेकानन्द जी से किसी ने पूछा आप अपनी माँ के गीत क्यों गाते रहते हो, उन्होंने अपनी पगड़ी उतारी और कहा, उस पत्थर को पगड़ी में बाँध कर नौ घण्टे पेट में बाँधो और घूम कर आओ, वह घबरा गया, मैं तो नौ मिनट भी नहीं बाँध सकता, तब उसे माँ की महिमा समझ में आई।

The glory of a mother cannot be described: someone asked Vivekananda why he kept singing his mother's praises. He removed his turban and said, tie that stone in the turban, bind it to your belly for nine hours and walk about. The man was alarmed, saying I cannot bind it even nine minutes; then he understood a mother's glory.
