धर्मोऽभिवर्द्धनीयः, सदात्मनोमार्दवादि भावनया। परदोषनिगूहनमपि, विधेयमुपबृह्रण गुणार्थ।।

हमेशा मार्दव आदि भावना के द्वारा आत्म धर्म की वृद्धि करनी चाहिये पर के दोषों को ढ़कना चाहिए इसे उपगूहन अङ्ग कहते हैं।

One should always increase the dharma of the soul through dispositions such as humility, and should conceal others' faults — this is called the limb of concealment.
