देव का निन्दक दरिद्र, गुरु का निन्दक पापी, स्वामी का निन्दक कुष्ठी व गोत्र का निन्दक कुल का क्षय करने वाला होता है, साधु का निन्दक अपने आप को दूषित करता है, क्योंकि जो सूर्य पर भस्म फेंकता है वह भस्म उसी के सिर पर पड़ती है।

One who reviles the Deity becomes poor, one who reviles the Guru becomes sinful, one who reviles his master becomes a leper, and one who reviles his lineage destroys his own family; one who reviles the saint only defiles himself — for whoever throws ashes at the sun, those ashes fall back on his own head.
