एक बुढ़िया सुई खोज रही थी, किसी ने पूछा हे अम्ब! क्या खोज रही हो? उसने कहा! सुई। सामने वाले ने कहा! प्रकाश में खोजो। बुढ़िया सड़क के उजाले में जाकर सुई को खोजने लगी, किसी ने पूँछा क्या खोज रही हो अम्मा? उसने कहा! सुई। सामने वाले ने पूँछा कहाँ गिरी है? अम्मा ने कहा! घर में। तब सामने वाले ने कहा! घर में उजाला कर के खोजो तब मिलेगी। उसी प्रकार हमारी आत्मा एवं शान्ति अन्दर है पर हम उसे बाहर पैसे, गाड़ी, सुविधा, ऐश-आराम आदि में खोज रहे हैं।

An old woman was searching for a needle; asked what she sought she said, 'A needle,' and was told to search in the light. She went to search under the streetlight; asked again where it had fallen, she said, 'In the house.' The man said, 'Then light up the house and search there — only then will you find it.' Likewise our soul and peace are within, yet we search for them outside in money, cars, comforts and luxuries.
