चक्र ने नहीं-एक तीर ने प्राण हरे- पुण्य के उदय में कृष्ण जी की मृत्यु जरासन्ध के सुदर्शन चक्र से नहीं हुई, पर पापोदय में एक बाण से हो गयी, उसी तरह लक्ष्मण की मृत्यु रावण के सुदर्शन चक्र से नहीं हुई, लेकिन देवों ने स्नेह की परीक्षा के निमित्त 'राम नहीं रहे' यह झूठ बोला, तो सुनते ही लक्ष्मण जी के प्राण निकल गये।
