लोभी को धन से, मानी को विनय से, मूर्ख को उसका मनोरथ पूरा करके, पण्डित को सच बोलकर, विनय से मित्र को, सम्मान से बाँधवों को, दान-मान से स्त्री व सेवकों को, तथा चतुराई से सबको वश में करना चाहिये।

The greedy should be won with wealth, the proud with humility, the fool by fulfilling his wish, the scholar by speaking truth, a friend with courtesy, kinsmen with respect, wife and servants with gifts and honour — and everyone should be won with cleverness.
