मन्द या तीव्र गति से शास्त्र न पढ़े। ज्ञानाभ्यास में रुचि नहीं होती है तो कषाय और आरम्भ में प्रवृति होती है।

One should not read scripture too slowly or too fast. When there is no interest in the study of knowledge, one turns instead to passions and worldly activity.
