तत्त्वज्ञान की जिज्ञासा उत्पन्न करना, उसका ज्ञान कराना और सदाचार मय जीवन होना जैसे- पञ्चतन्त्र में एक राजा के पाँच सौ मूर्ख लड़के थे, राजा ने घोषणा करा दी कि जो मेरे बेटों को विद्वान बनायेगा, उसे आधा राज्य और कन्या दी जायेगी 'विष्णुशर्मा' ने बच्चों को 'काव्य शास्त्र विनोदेन' इस कहानी के वाक्य से पढ़ाना शुरू किया, उसी प्रकार शिक्षक कहानी से पढ़ाना शुरू करे।

The three things a teacher needs: to arouse curiosity about the true principles, to impart their knowledge, and to lead a life of good conduct. For example, in the Panchatantra a king had five hundred foolish sons; the king proclaimed that whoever made his sons learned would be given half the kingdom and his daughter. 'Vishnu Sharma' began teaching the children through stories starting with the verse 'Kavya-shastra-vinodena'; likewise a teacher should begin teaching through stories.
