हेय और उपादेय रूप तत्त्व के प्रकाश का इच्छुक भव्यजीव बोधि और समाधि को देने वाले तथा परमार्थ सत् वस्तुस्वरूप का कथन करने वाले पुराण और चरित्ररूप प्रथमानुयोग को अन्य तीन अनुयोगों से अधिक अध्ययन में लायें क्योंकि आँखों में पानी इसी अनुयोग से आता है।

The worthy soul who wishes to see clearly what is to be rejected and what is to be adopted should study the Prathamanuyoga, made up of Puranas and life-stories, even more than the other three Anuyogas, for it bestows enlightenment and equanimity and describes the true nature of reality, and it is from this Anuyoga alone that tears of devotion come to the eyes.
