संसार में किसी मनुष्य के तो स्त्री नहीं है, किसी के यदि है तो पुत्र नहीं है, किसी के पुत्र है तो शरीर रोगी है, यदि किसी के शरीर निरोग भी है तो धन धान्य नहीं है, यदि धन-धान्य भी है तो किसी की स्त्री दुराचारिणी है, किसी का पति जुआ आदि दुर्व्यसनों में रत है, किसी के दुर्योधन के समान कलह करने वाले भाई हैं, किसी की पुत्री दुराचारिणी है, किसी के पति का जवानी में शीघ्र ही मरण हो जाता है, अतः कह सकते हैं कि संसार में कोई भी व्यक्ति पूर्ण सुखी नहीं है।

In this world one man has no wife; another has a wife but no son; another has a son but a diseased body; even if the body is healthy, there is no wealth or grain; even with wealth and grain, one man's wife is of ill conduct; another's husband is absorbed in gambling and vices; another has quarrelsome brothers like Duryodhana; another's daughter is of ill conduct; another's husband dies young—so one can say that no person in the world is completely happy.
