यदि भाव अच्छे हैं तो सदैव भाव मंगल आपके पास है और यदि भाव बुरे हैं तो मांगलिक द्रव्य, क्षेत्र, काल कुछ नहीं कर लेंगे। राजा श्रेणिक के भाव बुरे हुए तो यशोधर मुनिराज के गले में मरा सर्प डाला और नरक गति का बंध किया और जब भाव मंगल हुए तो उन्हीं से क्षमा माँगने लगा, मन में सोचने लगा अपनी गर्दन काटकर इनके चरणों में चढ़ा दूँ तब प्रायश्चित्त होगा, लेकिन उन्हीं मुनिराज के समझाने से मोक्षपुरी का रास्ता मिल गया, वही मुनिराज मंगल भूत हो गये, भाव परिवर्तन से भव परिवर्तन रुक गया।

If your feelings are good, auspiciousness is always with you; if your feelings are evil, no auspicious substance, place, or time can help you. When King Shrenik's feelings turned evil, he placed a dead serpent around the neck of the sage Yashodhar and bound himself to hell; but when his feelings turned auspicious, he began begging forgiveness from him, thinking he should cut off his own neck and lay it at the sage's feet as penance. Yet through that same sage's guidance he found the road to liberation—that sage became a blessing, and a change of feeling halted his cycle of rebirth.
