सिर्फ शास्त्र को पढ़ लेने से आत्मा पवित्र नहीं होती है, जैसे सन्दूक में साबुन बन्द रखने से कपड़ा साफ नहीं होता है, अतः जैसे साबुन का प्रयोग करना अनिवार्य है वैसे ही शास्त्रों के सूत्रों को आचरण में उतारना अनिवार्य होता है।

Merely reading scripture does not purify the soul, just as keeping soap shut in a box does not clean clothes; so, just as it is essential to use the soap, it is essential to put the scriptural teachings into practice.
