जो लोग पुरुषार्थ का महत्व स्वीकार नहीं करते हैं, उन्हें सांसारिक कार्यों में भी पुरुषार्थ छोड़ देना चाहिए, यदि नहीं छोड़ते हैं, तब उन्हें मोक्षमार्ग में भी पुरुषार्थ करना चाहिए अन्यथा लोमड़ी जैसे खट्टे अंगूर हैं।

Those who do not accept the importance of effort should give up effort in worldly matters too; and if they do not give it up there, then they should also make effort on the path of liberation — otherwise it is like the fox's sour grapes.
