सीमित खर्च को बुद्धिमत्ता की पुत्री, संयम की बहन और स्वतंत्रता की माता कहा जा सकता है। खर्चीला व्यक्ति शीघ्र ही निर्धन हो जाता है और निर्धनता परावलम्बन के लिए बाध्य करती है तथा भ्रष्टाचार को निमंत्रित करती है अतः जो भी आपके पास है उससे कम व्यय करो।

Limited spending may be called the daughter of wisdom, the sister of restraint, and the mother of freedom. A spendthrift soon becomes poor, and poverty forces dependence and invites corruption; therefore spend less than whatever you possess.
