काम, अर्थ और यश में किया गया यत्न निष्फल भी हो सकता है पर धर्म कार्य के प्रारम्भ का संकल्प निष्फल नहीं होता क्योंकि मन में भाव आते ही पुण्य बंध प्रारम्भ हो जाता है।

Effort made for desire, wealth and fame may prove fruitless, but the resolve to begin a deed of dharma is never fruitless, for the moment the intention arises in the mind, the binding of merit begins.
