जो मनुष्य शत्रु से मिले हुए मित्र को, कुल्टा स्त्री को, कुल को ध्वस्त करने वाले पुत्र को, मूर्ख मंत्री को, उतावली करने वाले राजा को, प्रमादी वैद्य को, रागी देव को, विषयी गुरु को और दया रहित धर्म को मोह वश नहीं छोड़ता वह कल्याण के द्वारा छोड़ दिया जाता है अर्थात् उसका कल्याण नहीं होता है।

He who, out of infatuation, will not forsake a friend allied with his enemy, a corrupt wife, a son who ruins the family, a foolish minister, a rash king, a negligent physician, a passion-ridden deity, a lustful guru, and a mercy-less creed, is himself forsaken by his own welfare.
