सूर्योदय के पहले सभी को सोकर उठ जाना चाहिए यदि पति न भी उठ पाये तो पत्नि को तो उठ ही जाना चाहिए क्योंकि यदि गृहलक्ष्मी सूर्योदय के बाद तक सोती रहती है तो उसके यहाँ की धनलक्ष्मी भाग जाती है।

Everyone should rise before sunrise; even if the husband cannot, the wife should certainly rise, for if the lady of the house sleeps past sunrise, the wealth of that home departs.
