विद्या, तप, धन, शरीर, युवावस्था और उच्चकुल ये छह सज्जनों के लिए गुण और दुष्टों के लिए दुर्गुण हैं जिनके कारण विवेक के नष्ट होने पर अभिमानी और दोषपूर्ण दृष्टि वाले होकर वे दुष्ट लोग महापुरुषों की तेजस्विता को नहीं देख पाते हैं।

Learning, austerity, wealth, body, youth, and high birth — these six are virtues for the good but vices for the wicked; through them, when discernment is destroyed, the wicked become proud and faulty of vision and cannot perceive the brilliance of great souls.
