जो पहले निश्चित करके फिर कार्य का आरम्भ करता है, कार्य के बीच में नहीं रुकता, समय को व्यर्थ नहीं जाने देता और चित्त को वश में रखता है वही पण्डित (ज्ञानी) कहलाता है।

One who first decides and then begins the work, does not stop midway, does not waste time, and keeps the mind under control — he alone is called wise.
