यदि धीरता और कायरता में भी मृत्यु होती है तो तू कायरता को छोड़कर धीरता से ही मरण कर। जो मनुष्य दो कोस गाँव को जाता है तो नाश्ता ले जाता है वह दुर्बुद्धि परलोक में जाते हुए क्या धर्म रूपी नाश्ता नहीं ले जायेगा ?

If death comes whether one is brave or cowardly, then abandon cowardice and die with courage. A person who goes even to a village two kos away carries food along; will such a fool, then, not carry the provisions of dharma when journeying to the next world?
