रत्नत्रय धर्म को पाकर विषय सुख में रंजित होना भस्म के लिए चंदन को जलाने के समान निष्फल है। विषय विरक्त होने पर भी तप भावना, धर्म भावना सुखपूर्वक मरणादि रूप समाधि अति दुर्लभ है।

To attain the dharma of the Three Jewels and then indulge in sensual pleasures is as fruitless as burning sandalwood merely for ash. Even after renouncing the senses, the disposition for austerity and dharma, and a serene, peaceful death (samadhi), are exceedingly rare.
