ईर्ष्या, लोभ, काम, क्रोध आदि का कोई भी वेग हो, आप उस वेग में तात्कालिक कोई भी निर्णय मत लेना क्योंकि आवेग में विवेक खो जाता है और आवेग में लिया गया निर्णय कभी भी यथार्थ नहीं होता। कार्य दिख रहा है कारण खोजो।

Whatever the surge — of jealousy, greed, lust or anger — never take any decision in the heat of that surge, for in a fit of passion discernment is lost and a decision taken in agitation is never sound. The effect is visible; go seek the cause.
