चाण्डाल धीवरादि सम्यग्दर्शन प्राप्त कर सकते हैं अणुव्रत धारण कर सकते हैं पर अभिषेक नहीं कर सकते हैं क्योंकि जैन दर्शन में पर्याय की प्रधानता से क्रियायें होती हैं।

Outcastes, fishermen and the like can attain right faith and take the minor vows, but cannot perform ritual bathing, because in Jain philosophy rites are governed by the predominance of one's present state (paryaya).
