जन्म के बाद मृत्यु, उत्थान के बाद पतन, संयोग के बाद वियोग, संचय के बाद क्षय निश्चित है। यह समझ कर ज्ञानी हर्ष व शोक के वशीभूत नहीं होते हैं।

After birth, death; after rise, fall; after union, separation; after accumulation, decay is certain. Understanding this, the wise do not fall under the sway of joy or sorrow.
