भगवत् प्राप्ति में सबसे बड़ी बाधा है–भोग और संग्रह की रुचि। दूसरों के सुख से सुखी होने पर ‘भोग’ की रुचि और दूसरों के दुःख से दुःखी होने पर ‘संग्रह’ की रुचि मिट जाती है।

The greatest obstacle to attaining God is the taste for enjoyment and accumulation. When you rejoice in others' happiness the taste for 'enjoyment' fades, and when you grieve at others' suffering the taste for 'accumulation' fades.
