घटना जखौरा की है–एक मुसलमान भाई ने णमोकार मन्त्र के सहारे अनेक लोगों की विपत्तियाँ दूर कीं, वह सामायिक भी करता था, एक बार पलंग पर लेटा था, थोड़ी देर बाद सपना आया कि तेरे पलंग में सर्प है, उठकर दो-तीन बार ऊपर-नीचे देखा कहीं नहीं दिखा, पुनः णमोकार मन्त्र पढ़कर सो गया, प्रातः बिस्तर लपेटा बिस्तर में से सर्प निकल कर बाहर चला गया, उसका कुछ नहीं हुआ, यह मन्त्र का प्रभाव था, गाँव के मुस्लिम भाइयों को पता चला यह जैन धर्म मानता है, पञ्चायत बुलाई, भला-बुरा कहा, वह सब कुछ सुनता रहा, पर जैनधर्म छोड़ने को तैयार नहीं हुआ, जाति भाइयों ने उसे मार डालने का निर्णय लिया, जिससे दूसरा धर्म ग्रहण नहीं कर सके, सामायिक में बैठा विरोधियों ने वहाँ सर्प छोड़ दिया, वह चारों ओर घूमता रहा उसका कुछ नहीं हुआ, तीन दिन बाद सर्प छोड़ने वाले को ही सर्प ने डँस लिया, वह मर गया, दो दिन बाद उसके पिता को भी काटा, वह भी मर गया, यह था मन्त्र का प्रभाव।

This incident is from Jakhaura—a Muslim man removed the troubles of many people with the help of the Namokar Mantra, and he also practised samayik. Once, lying on his bed, after a while he dreamt that a snake was in his bed; he got up and looked around two or three times but saw nothing, then recited the Namokar Mantra again and slept. In the morning, when he rolled up the bedding, a snake came out of it and went away, doing him no harm—this was the power of the mantra. When the village Muslims learned that he followed the Jain religion, they called a panchayat and abused him; he listened to it all but would not give up Jainism. His caste-fellows decided to kill him so he could not adopt another faith; while he sat in samayik, his opponents released a snake there, which roamed all around but did him no harm. Three days later the snake bit the very man who had released it, and he died; two days later it bit his father too, and he also died—such was the power of the mantra.
