प्रत्येक प्राणी को शयन से पहले, जागने के बाद, किसी स्थान पर निवास करते समय, गमन के अवसर पर, गृहप्रवेश के समय, यहाँ-वहाँ भ्रमण के अवसर पर, आमोद-प्रमोद के अवसर पर, वन प्रवेश के समय, पर्वत पर चढ़ते-उतरते समय, समुद्र से पार होने के अवसर पर इत्यादि अवसरों पर मन्त्रराज का जाप अवश्य करना चाहिए।

Every being should recite the king of mantras before sleeping, after waking, while residing anywhere, when travelling, when entering a house, when wandering here and there, during recreation, when entering a forest, while climbing up or down a mountain, when crossing the sea, and on all such occasions.
