घर में जाप करने से जितना पुण्य होता है, उसकी अपेक्षा वन में जाप करने पर सौ गुना ज्यादा पुण्य प्राप्त होता है, उसकी अपेक्षा पवित्र बगीचे एवं घने जंगल में जाप करने से हजार गुना ज्यादा लाभ होता है, उसकी अपेक्षा पर्वत पर दस हजार गुना ज्यादा लाभ होता है, उसकी अपेक्षा नदी किनारे जाप करने से लाख गुना ज्यादा लाभ होता है उसकी अपेक्षा जिनालय में करोड़ गुना ज्यादा लाभ होता है एवं भगवान् के निकट जाप करने से अनन्त गुना ज्यादा लाभ प्राप्त होता है, मुख्य रूप से जितनी श्रद्धा, विशुद्धि और एकाग्रता है उतना फल मिलता है।

Compared to the merit of reciting at home, reciting in the forest gives a hundred times more; in a sacred garden or dense jungle, a thousand times more; on a mountain, ten thousand times more; on a riverbank, a hundred thousand times more; in a Jina temple, ten million times more; and reciting near the Lord gives infinitely more merit—but chiefly one obtains fruit in proportion to one's faith, purity and concentration.
